Do clothes really make the woman or man?

Introduction & workshop for a young audience from twelve up

How important is fashion to you? What is your favourite item of clothing and why? What do clothes say about you and others? Would you like to take photos of people and their fashion ways?
In “Cartografie II (Bad Gleichenberg)“ the Romanian artist group Apparatus 22 embarks on a visual exploration of the social role of clothes in society, their personal importance for us, and the stories connected with them. With the aid of Polaroid instant-picture cameras, this introductory workshop is about photographing people in different poses and then discussing the snapshots together with the artists.
Participation in the steirischer herbst education programmes is free of charge.

Eurotopia
Workshop for a young audience from twelve up

In his piece “A Párt – Die Partei – The Party” the Hungarian theatre-maker Árpád Schilling negotiates current topics of democratic policy such as education, xenophobia, generational conflict, youth and freedom. The symbolic setting for the piece is a small Hungarian village that is representative of our neighbouring country and embodies a kind of “Anti-Europe”.
What would a Europe governed by young people be like and what would change? “Eurotopia” is a role-play game in which young people have the opportunity to design a continent however they like and thus realise their vision of Europe.

Fr 17/10, 13.00 – 18.00
Neuen Mittelschule Bad Gleichenberg

Hosted by Panthersie für Europa

Participation is free of charge. Limited number of participants.
